IPL 2024: Predicting Chennai Super Kings’ Playing XI for their clash against Lucknow Super Giants

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are all set to play their 7th match against the Lucknow Super Giants in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The game will take place in Lucknow at the Ekana Stadium. This match will be competitive as both the teams are in red-hot form and will be looking forward to getting one step closer to the playoffs. But clearly, it will be a good match for the fans because MS Dhoni will be taking the field once again.

Top Order

The top order of CSK consists of captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rachin Ravindra and Ajinkya Rahane. All three batters are quite magnificent in their way and can take on the spinners as well as the pacers really well. Even though this is Rachin’s debut season, he has shown tremendous intent towards the game and the fans will be expecting him to go big in the match against LSG. Middle Order

Shivam Dube, Daryll Mitchell, Ravindra Jedeja and MS Dhoni from the middle order for CSK. While Mitchell is getting there, the other three batters have shown their potential in the tournament so far with Dube leading the pack. He has been phenomenal this season and is in the sixth position of the Orange cap list. Dube is the backbone of the CSK team and will be hoping to continue the same form throughout the tournament. 

Bowlers

Tushar Deshpande, Matheesha Pathirana, Shardul Thakur and Mustafizur Rahman are the strong bowling lineup of CSk who defended a total of 207 runs at the Wankhede Stadium against the Mumbai Indians. They have been absolutely brilliant in the tournament as they have managed to get important breakthroughs whenever necessary. The collective effort from the teammates is the only reason why CSK has been successful throughout the years and will retain their trophy this season.
