Shakib went to perform Umrah in the middle of BPL

Shaking off that fatigue, the captain of Fortune Barisal boarded on the plane of Saudi Arabia. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) logistics officer Wasim Khan confirmed Shakib’s visit to Saudi Arabia to perform the holy Umrah.

However, Shakib’s departure will not have any impact on the Barisal team. Because the team has already confirmed the play-offs of the tournament. So far, Barisal is at the second place in the table with 14 points after playing 10 matches. Moreover, there is no BPL match on February 5 and 6. And Shakib used this free time. That too in good deeds like holy Umrah.

Barisal has only two matches left in the group stage of BPL. Their opponents on February 7 are Comilla Victorians. Then they will play against Khulna Tigers on February 10. However, Barisal’s captain will return home before these two matches. According to the team, if everything goes well, after performing the holy Umrah, Shakib will set foot in Dhaka on February 6.
