In the course of the partnership, both Kohli and Jadeja reached their respective milestones, Kohli registered his 29th century while Jadeja registered his 19th fifty. Alzarri Joseph broke the good-going partnership with a brilliant direct hit, running out Virat Kohli for 121.

Soon, Kemar Roach removed Jadeja for 61. A half-century from Ravichandran Ashwin and a 37-ball 25 runs cameo from Ishan Kishan down the order helped India to post a good total of 438.
