A clinical bowling display from Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi, followed by ruthless batting from Tim Seifert (48), Glenn Phillips (42), and Mark Chapman (40), helped New Zealand beat England by 6 wickets in the fourth T20I match.

England won the toss and elected to bat. Will Jacks and Jonny Bairstow put on 65 runs for the first wicket, but Jacks was dismissed for 16. Bairstow continued to score freely, hitting six sixes and five fours in his 73-run knock. He was eventually dismissed by Ish Sodhi in the 11.2 overs, and England then collapsed to 150/6 in 17.2 overs.

However, Liam Livingstone (26) and Rehan Ahmed (11) helped England recover to post 175 for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Dawid Malan contributed 26 runs off 21 balls, while Mitchell Santner was the pick of the New Zealand bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 30 runs. Ish Sodhi also picked up two wickets for 21 runs in 4 overs.

In response to England’s 175, Luke Wood struck early and dismissed Finn Allen for 16 runs. Tim Seifert top-scored for New Zealand with 48 off 32 balls, while Glenn Phillips made 42 and Mark Chapman 40. Rachin Ravindra hit 17 off 9 balls to help New Zealand chase the target in 17.2 overs. New Zealand won by 6 wickets with 16 balls remaining. Mitchell Santner won the player of the match award for his 3/30. With this, New Zealand leveled the series 2-2 in the four-match T20I series. Jonny Bairstow won the Player of the Series award for scoring 175 runs in the series.
