Deepti Sharma has reflected on what it means to represent India in international cricket, emphasising the deep sense of pride and responsibility that comes with wearing the national colours. The Indian all-rounder has established herself as one of the country’s most accomplished cricketers across multiple formats, combining both batting and bowling excellence at the highest level.

Speaking about her journey in the sport, the Agra-born cricketer opened up on the emotional connection she shares with the Indian cricket team and the significance of donning the blue jersey on the international stage.

“When you wear the blue jersey, it fills you with pride, for yourself, for your family, and for your country. It’s not just a jersey; it’s the result of years of hard work and sacrifice. When expectations are high and you are able to deliver for the nation, that feeling is special,” she said via JioStar.

“There is a responsibility that comes with it, but it’s a responsibility we all welcome. Everyone wants us to succeed as a team and bring happiness to the fans who support us. That is what drives us to keep giving our best every time we step onto the field,” Deepti added.
