Virat Kohli was spotted at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on Sunday, June 28, during the crucial encounter between India and Australia in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. have to beat Australia at the Home of Cricket to progress to the semi-final. However, a defeat will see Australia and South Africa advance from Group A.

Kohli, who currently resides in London with his family, was seen sitting in the stands, with former India coach Ravi Shastri on one side and wife Anushka Sharma on the other. Once the camera panned on the trio, the crowd went berserk. Kohli is arguably the most popular name in the sport. He soaked in the cheers from the fans and even gave them a wave to acknowledge their support.

Apart from Shastri and Kohli, another former India captain, Shikhar Dhawan, was also in attendance. The latter was sitting alongside his wife, Sophie Shine. Dhawan also received a huge cheer from the crowd, and he, too, gave them a wave.

When will Virat Kohli return to action?

After helping the Royal Challengers Bengaluru retain the Indian Premier League (IPL) title earlier this year, Kohli missed the ODI series against Afghanistan due to a hamstring injury. However, he has been named in India’s side for the three-match ODI series against England, subject to fitness.

The three ODIs will be played in Birmingham, Cardiff, and London on June 14, 16, and 17, respectively. Fans will be hoping to see the reunion of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli during the highly-anticipated encounter.
