The players of the Pakistan cricket team were spotted loading their luggage in Australia in a video which went viral on social media recently. Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi clarified the situation, saying that the players helped each other as there were only 30 minutes for them to catch the next flight.

The ace pacer added that there were two personnels to attend to them but it was not possible for them to carry the luggage of all the players and since they were in a hurry, everyone cooperated. He mentioned that everyone in the team is like a family and just helped each other.

“We only had 30 minutes to catch our next flight and we helped because there were just two people. We wanted to wrap it up fast and to save time. We call this team a family and helped them as a family,” Shaheen was quoted as saying by The News.

We are not hoping for a good end for David Warner: Shaheen Afridi

Veteran opener David Warner has announced to retire from red-ball cricket after the coming three-match series against Pakistan. He has represented the national team in 109 matches so far, scoring 8487 runs with 25 centuries. The opener has been extremely successful in the longest format and also won the World Test Championship in 2023. Shaheen wished him luck but also said that Pakistan have plans to ruin his final dance.

“We would wish him good luck but we are not hoping for a good end for David Warner in his last Test series against us,” the 23-year-old said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will play a four-day match against Prime Minister’s XI to get adjusted to the Australian conditions. Shaheen stated that they do not have much experience playing in Canberra and expect the practice match to be a big help before the series begins on December 14.

“We don’t have much experience of [playing in[ Canberra, but I am sure this four-day match against PM XI will help us prepare well for the series against the home team starting from Perth,” said Shaheen.
