India’s Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his heart out to forward his warm and joyous congratulations to the Men in Blue for clinching the Asia Cup 2025 title by defeating arch-rivals Pakistan in the final on Sunday, September 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The tournament had been under limelight for India vs Pakistan amidst tense atmosphere between the nations.

Modi metaphorized the win as India’s way of executing the Operation Sindoor on the cricketing field. He also shared that whether the nations fight on the border, or on the field, the result always goes in favour of the Indian outfit. For the unversed, the Operation Sindoor in actuality was executed in May 2025 by the Indian Army in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attacks.

“Operation Sindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same – India wins! Congrats to our cricketers,” Modi shared on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle right after the win.
