The Indian T20I team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, did well in their recent match against Australia, winning the T20I series 4-1. Even though they did not put a great total on the board at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the final ga,e, the Indian bowlers defended the score and won the game by six runs.

Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh bowled extremely well in the death overs as the former took three wickets for 32 runs and the latter took two wickets for 40 runs. In the last over, Arshdeep defended ten runs to secure the victory for India. Ben McDermott scored 54 with the help of five huge sixes, however, the game changed when McDermott attempted to hit a six off Arshdeep and got out.

Earlier for India, Shreyas Iyer scored a brilliant fifty under pressure after failing in the last match. He scored 53 off 37 balls to help India reach a respectable total. Axar Patel also showcased his batting prowess, scoring a quick 31 in the end to help India reach 160.

After this victory, Arshdeep’s IPL team, Punjab Kings, made a funny post on social media, as they shared a video of Arshdeep dismissing Matthew Wade.

“Not against this left-arm pacer, Matthew Wade,” the post was captioned, highlighting Arshdeep’s success against Wade, who had smashed three conseucitve sixes against Pakistan’s left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi in the 2021 T20 World Cup semi-final.

The way the boys showed their skills was commendable: Suryakumar Yadav

After the match, Indian captain Suryakumar praised how his players showcased their skills, emphasizing their commendable performance. Suryakumar mentioned that the team aimed to play fearlessly and enjoy their time on the field.

“It was a good series. The way the boys showed their skills was commendable. We wanted to be fearless, we wanted to enjoy when we were in the middle. I told them to do whatever is right and just enjoy their game and they did the same. So very happy with that. At Chinnaswamy, 200+ is easier to chase. 160-175 is a tricky told here. After 10 overs, I told the boys that we have a game on,” Suryakumar said after the match.
