Delhi Capitals (DC) will be aiming to build on their recent performances as they take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 35 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

DC have had a mixed campaign so far, showing glimpses of their potential but struggling to maintain consistency. The side has relied on key players to deliver in crucial moments, while the overall team performance has lacked stability at times.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings have been the standout team of the season so far, enjoying a phenomenal unbeaten run. Led by Shreyas Iyer and guided by coach Ricky Ponting, PBKS have dominated opponents with both bat and ball.

Their explosive batting lineup has produced massive totals, including a record-setting performance earlier in the tournament, while their bowling unit has consistently backed it up with disciplined displays. Contributions from players like Cooper Connolly and Priyansh Arya have further strengthened their campaign.

Here’s PBKS’ predicted Playing XI vs DC in Match 35, IPL 2026

The top-order of Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, and Cooper Connolly has been tremendous for them. Connolly notably has left for Australia for some fitness tests, so he might not feature in this league game. Mitchel Owen might replace him at number 3. Priyansh Arya is PBKS’ most lethal weapon with the bat, and is coming off after a stunning innings against LSG.

Middle-order: Shreyas Iyer (Capt), Shashank Singh, Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen

PBKS’ captain Shreyas Iyer will lead this middle-order of Punjab. He is having a dream season, both as a batter as well as captain. The Mumbai batter has scored 208 runs so far. Shashank Singh finally is getting his rhythm back. Meanwhile, the overseas duo of Marcus Stoinis and Marco Jansen adds depth with their all-round abilities.

Bowlers: Xavier Bartlett, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal adds immense value to this side with his all-round presence. Xavier Bartlett has been a surprise package for PBKS this season with his bowling as well as fielding. Arshdeep Singh leads this bowling line-up with his left-arm pace. He has picked up six wickets so far. Vijaykumar Vyshak adds depth to this attack.
