IPL 2023: Jason Roy fined 10% match fees for Code of Conduct breach in RCB vs KKR clash

Kolkata Knight Riders batter Jason Roy was fined 10 percent of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, where his side squared off against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

In accordance with IPL Code of Conduct Article 2.2, Roy admitted to the Level 1 violation. The Match Referee’s decision for Level 1 Code of Conduct offences is deemed final and binding. The Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct indicates to a players’ action or behavior that is not in accordance to the spirit of the game.
