इंग्लैंड और भारत के बीच 20 जून से पहले टेस्ट मैच की शुरुआत हो रही है। जहां हेडिंग्ले में खेले जा रहे मुकाबले में इंग्लैंड के कप्तान बेन स्टोक्स ने पहले टॉस जीतकर पहले गेंदबाजी करने का फैसला किया है। वहीं भारत की ओर से साई सुदर्शन आज अपना टेस्ट डेब्यू कर रहे हैं। चेतेश्वर पुजारा ने उन्हें डेब्यू कैप प्रदान किया। इसके साथ ही प्लेइंग इलेवन में करुण नायर की भी वापसी हुई है।

वहीं अर्शदीप सिंह इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ हेडिंग्ले में खेले जा रहे पहले टेस्ट में भारत की प्लेइंग इलेवन में शामिल नहीं किए हैं। अर्शदीप ने अभी तक अपना टेस्ट डेब्यू नहीं किया है, लेकिन उम्मीद थी कि उन्हें 20 जून से शुरू होने वाले सीरीज के पहले मैच में अपना पहला टेस्ट डेब्यू करने का मौका मिलेगा।

इसके अलावा वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ पहले टेस्ट की प्लेइंग इलेवन से मार्नस लाबुशेन को बाहर कर दिया गया है। ऑस्ट्रेलिया 25 जून 2025 से वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ तीन टेस्ट मैचों की सीरीज के साथ डब्ल्यूटीसी 2025-27 चक्र की शुरुआत करेगा। पहला टेस्ट बारबाडोस के केंसिंग्टन ओवल में खेला जाएगा। डब्ल्यूटीसी फाइनल में चोटिल हुए स्टीव स्मिथ भी इस मैच से बाहर हैं।
