Shreyas Iyer

It was a sub-par batting performance from India but Shreyas Iyer’s dominating display was a bright spot for the Indian team. It was his knock that carried India to a competitive total which gave India enough room to defend the target. India got off to a quickfire start but lost a couple of wickets in quick succession before the powerplay ended. Shreyas Iyer was the only player who kept his wicket intact at one end. Iyer stayed on the crease till the last over which made sure that India crossed the 150-run mark.

Mukesh Kumar has emerged as one of the promising players of this series. He has been consistent with his bowling in multiple phases of the innings. He is generally considered to be impactful with the new ball but his bowling in death overs has been equally lethal. This is one of the very important takeaways for India as they have another bowler who can trouble the opposition in the later phase of the innings.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh

In a match that was an even-steven affair till the last over Arshdeep Singh emerged as the difference between the two teams with his spectacular death bowling. Australia needed 10 runs in the last over which is not a humongous task in T20 cricket. However, Arshdeep Singh showed his class of death bowling, which he seemed to have lost in recent times. The left-arm pacer successfully defended 10 runs and also got the prized wicket of Matthew Wade to put a stamp on India’s victory.
