Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer, and Rinku Singh’s best efforts with the bat went to waste as KKR scored 234 runs while chasing the 239 runs needed to win. Rahane and his team need a quick turnaround if they have to be in touch with the top half of the table.

3- Khaleel Ahmed vs Ajinkya Rahane

Left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed has been one of the best bowlers with the new ball in the current IPL 2025 season. Khaleel got two key wickets in the game against Punjab on Tuesday as he dismissed Shreyas Iyer and Marcus Stoinis. The 27-year-old will have a huge role to play against a KKR side that have few dangerous batters in the top order. Rahane has been one of the most consistent batter for KKR as seen during his knock vs LSG. The veteran batter will have to weather the storm against Khaleel in the coming encounter. 

2- Moeen Ali vs Rachin Ravindra 

After Spencer Johnson’s expensive outing with the ball, one can expect the Aussie pacer to be benched in favour of Moeen Ali. The former England star has played for CSK and knows the conditions well in Chepauk. Ali will be key with the ball against the likes of Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway who can be troubled by his bowling. Ravindra was out to Maxwell on Tuesday, and this will be not lost on KKR ahead of the game on Friday.
