Mithali led from the front with a 123-ball 109, her sixth ODI century, in what was a must-win fixture for the Women in Blue. India posted 265/7 before dismissing the White Ferns for 79. Mithali hit 11 fours during her match-winning knock and won the Player of the Match award. The Asian side reached the semi-final with the 186-run victory.

1. 214 vs England (August 2002)

Playing her first ever Test on English soil, Mithali scored a remarkable double century in India’s first innings after England made 329 upfront. Mithali scored 214 runs off 407 deliveries, hitting 19 boundaries. The match eventually ended in a draw, but the Indian stalwart created history, becoming the youngest female player to score a Test double century. She was just 19 years old at the time. The top-order batter also became the first Indian woman to score a double ton in Tests.
