Adrien Markram notched up his highest individual test score while playing against the Kangaroos at Wanderers in Johannesburg. The batter scored 152 runs on the first day of the fourth test. The century ensured the Proteas put up a decent first innings total of 486 runs. The Kangaroos failed to cross the 300-run mark in both their innings as South Africa won by 492 runs.

The Proteas were brought to their toes in the second test of the 2024-25 test series at Cape Town. The homeside was bamboozled for a mere 55 runs in the first innings.
