Shaun Marsh, the Australian cricket legend, has decided to put up his boots after making his debut in the international arena on 24th June 2008 against the West Indies. Shaun Marsh has participated in 71 ODI matches thus far in his career, amassing 2,747 runs at an average of 42. Throughout his ODI career, Shaun Marsh has hit 245 fours and 36 sixes. In June 2019, he participated in his last ODI match at Kia Oval in London, England, where he scored three runs off nine balls. He retired from ODIs on 15th June 2019 against Sri Lanka.

During the 1st ODI match between Australia vs Scotland in Grange Cricket Club, Edinburgh. Scotland won the toss and came to the field first. Australia, batting first, put in a huge score of 362 runs as Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh opened the innings for the team. Both went to score centuries and were about to score 150 but Aaron Finch lost his wicket. However, Shaun Marsh scored 151 runs from 151 runs. He scored 16 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. Later, Australia won the match by 200 runs.

2. 131 vs England:

On 16 June 2018, during the ODI series against England, Australia won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, England posted a total of 342 runs. Going to chase, Australia lost two quick wickets. However, Shaun Marsh scored 131 runs before getting out to Liam Plunkett. He smashed 10 fours and 3 sixes. However, Australia lost the match by 38 runs.

On 15th January 2019, during the ODI match between Australia and India, taking place in Adelaide Oval, the hosts came to bat first after winning the toss and posted a total of 298 runs. Meanwhile, India got earlier breakthroughs. While coming to bat down the order, Shaun Marsh took control of the batting side and steadied the batting line-up which was collapsing. Shaun Marsh scored 131 runs from 123 balls which included 11 fours and 3 sixes. Shaun Marsh’s knock helped Australia put 298 runs on the scoreboard. While India managed to chase down the total as Virat Kohli scored 104 runs.
