The Australian team failed to impress with their performance in the last match but the Aussies are never far from a win. The Aussies made a few changes in the starting lineup before the last match which makes any further change an unlikely possibility. Top Order is also expected to remain the same. Travis Head and Josh Phillipe will be opening the innings. Head looked in good touch in the last match and Team India would be wary of his threat.

At No.3 Ben McDermott will keep his place in the starting XI as he was included in the last match only. Benching him after just one failure would not be fair to the player.

Middle Order

After Maxwell’s departure, the Australian middle order looked a bit out of sorts. In Maxwell’s absence, the responsibility to guide this middle order would be on captain Matthew Wade and Tim David. These two are the prominent faces in this inexperienced middle order which makes it imperative for them to perform. Matthew Short, Ben Dwarshuis, and Chris Green who made his debut in the last match would be partnering the two senior players in providing the solidity and firepower to this batting lineup.

Bowling Unit

Bowling Unit

It was a good outing for the Australian bowling unit in the last match but it will be a tough test for them at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. Jason Behrendorff has been the best bowler for Australia in this series and the Kangaroos would be relying on him to deliver another good spell with the new ball. Ben Dwarshuis picked up 3 wickets in the last match which makes his spot certain in the squad. Aaron Hardie, Tanveer Sangha, and Chris Green would complete this attack and they will have to step up if the Kangaroos want to restrict the Indian batting order in Bengaluru.
