Predicting Adelaide Strikers Women’s playing XI for their match against Sydney Thunder Women in WBBL

Predicting Adelaide Strikers Women's playing XI for their match against Sydney Thunder Women in WBBL

Tomorrow afternoon, the Adelaide Strikers Women will women play the Sydney Thunder Women at North Sydney Oval.

After suffering a shocking loss on the first day, the defending champion Adelaide Strikers returned to winning ways and defeated the Sydney Sixers. Another win for the hosts would help boost their morale significantly.

Although the North Sydney Oval surface tends to favor bowlers, particularly in the first overs, it normally provides a balanced surface. The surface demands that batters put in the effort and concentrate on forming partnerships, as seen by the average first innings total of 151 in the previous 20 games.

Bridget Patterson has been replaced in the roster of 13 for this game by Annie O’Neil. Throughout the past 48 hours, Bridget has been evaluated by specialists. She is doing well after being cleared of any significant injuries.

The Predicting Adelaide Strikers Women’s playing XI for their match against Sydney Thunder Women in WBBL is as follows: Katie Mack, Laura Wolvaardt, Madeline Penna, Tahlia McGrath (c), Annie O’Neil (wk), Orla Prendergast, Amanda-Jade Wellington, Jemma Barsby, Megan Schutt, Darcie Brown, Anesu Mushangwe

Why is Bridget Patterson not available against Sydney Thunder?

Adelaide Strikers wicketkeeper Bridget Patterson had to be taken off the pitch after being struck in the face by the ball during a terrifying incident in the Women’s Big Bash League match. The ball bounced unnaturally in front of Patterson after Strikers seamer Darcie Brown’s cross-seam delivery in the fourth over beat Sixers skipper Ellyse Perry’s outside edge.

After being hit close to the right eye socket, the 30-year-old hit the turf in agony right away, and emergency personnel hurried onto the field. As backup wicketkeeper Ellie Johnston took her place behind the wickets, she departed the field for more medical care, with blood evident close to the wound. Later on, though, Patterson came back on the field to replace her.
