Ashwin became much more deadly than he was in the first innings, as the slow nature of the surface brought the best out of him. The right-arm off-spinner claimed 7/71 in 21.3 overs, including seven maidens. Jadeja chipped in with a couple of wickets, as India dismissed the West Indies for just 130 and won by an innings and 141 runs to go 1-0 up in the series. Jaiswal won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance on debut.
