IPL 2026 Match 39: DC Predicted Playing XI vs RCB

IPL 2026 Match 39: DC Predicted Playing XI vs RCB

Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Match 39 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

The Capitals come into this clash after a heartbreaking defeat, where they failed to defend a massive 265 after a sensational unbeaten 152 off 67 from KL Rahul. Having already beaten RCB once this season, DC will aim to complete a double over the defending champions. With just three wins in seven matches, they are in desperate need of points and will look to bounce back strongly at home.

DC Predicted Playing XI vs RCB

Top-order: Prithvi Shaw, KL Rahul (wk), Nitish Rana

KL Rahul is coming off a magnificent knock in the previous game, showcasing his class and dominance. He will once again be the backbone of DC’s batting lineup. Prithvi Shaw is expected to return to the XI and open alongside Rahul, providing an aggressive start amid Pathum Nissanka’s indifferent form. Nitish Rana has been in outstanding form, playing impactful knocks at number three and stabilising the innings when required.

Middle-order: Sameer Rizvi (Impact), Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel (c), David Miller

Sameer Rizvi started the season strongly but has struggled for consistency in recent matches. However, his ability against spin makes him a key asset in the middle overs. Tristan Stubbs has played the role of a stabiliser, often rescuing DC from difficult situations. Captain Axar Patel, while not at his best with the bat, has been exceptional with the ball and will be crucial again. David Miller continues to be the designated finisher, capable of delivering under pressure in the death overs.

Lower order/Bowlers: Kyle Jamieson, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, T Natarajan, Dushmantha Chameera

Kyle Jamieson is expected to come into the side, offering bounce and all-round value. Kuldeep Yadav will be key in the middle overs, especially given his success against RCB earlier in the season. Mukesh Kumar will look to rediscover his early-season rhythm with the new ball. T Natarajan remains a reliable option at the death with his yorkers, while Dushmantha Chameera is likely to replace Lungi Ngidi and add pace to the attack.
