Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli

The duo of Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli are likely to open the innings for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Virat is the talisman for the franchise and his performance matters the most. He has been away from cricket for the last couple of months and it will be interesting to see how he makes a comeback. At No.3 Rajat Patidar will be batting. It is a very important season for Patidar as he missed out on the last season due to an injury but now, he is fully fit and raring to go.

Glenn Maxwell

There are a few new additions in the RCB middle order. The young Aussie all-rounder who has been traded this season, Cameron Green, will be a crucial part of the middle order. Along with him, there will be another Aussie by the name of Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell is the destroyer for RCB who will be looking to dismantle opposition bowling attacks with his monstrous hits. Dinesh Karthik and Mahipal Lomror will be the other two names forming the middle order of RCB.

Bowling Unit

Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj and Lockie Ferguson are expected to be the lead pacers for Bengaluru. Siraj will be useful in the initial overs and in death as well. Whereas, Ferguson might be utilized in the middle overs along with the last four overs. Cameron Green will be another fast-bowling option for RCB.

As the season opener is being played in Chennai, spinners will be very important. Mayank Dagar and Karn Sharma will be taking up the spin responsibilities. They will be assisted by Mahipal Lomror who can also spin the ball. Moreover, Akash Deep and Rajat Patidar are possible alternatives to be used as impact players.
