1. Top Order

As the team is famous for not tinkering with the winning combination, the likes of Rachin Ravindra, skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Daryl Mitchell are set to play again despite the Kiwi pair not doing well enough. The newly-appointed skipper, Gaikwad found form in the last game with an unbeaten half-century. Apart from him, the Kiwi hasn’t gotten big scores but not looked out of form either.

2. Middle-order, all-rounder, and wicketkeeper

Former India Test player, Ajinkya Rahane, Sameer Rizvi, and Ravindra Jadeja will occupy middle-order and all-rounder slots respectively. Gloves will be taken by none other than MS Dhoni unless the former India skipper decides to rest and give Avanish Aravelli a game. Meanwhile, this might not happen at least for this year or even this game. 

3. Bowlers

Local boys, Shardul Thakur and Tushar Deshpande will definitely get to play the game. One change they can make is to replace Mustafizur Rahman with Matheesha Pathirana as the former’s bowling is not suited for Wankhede. Maheesh Theekshana can play as the spin bowler with Jadeja.
