Brett Lee loved bowling against the West Indies in every format of the game. He achieved his best bowling figures in T20 cricket against West Indies. In the second match of the series West Indies batted first and put up 160 runs on the board. Brett Lee along with Clint McKay and Shane Watson played a huge role in restricting the destructive West Indies batting lineup to this reasonable total. Brett Lee dismissed dangerous Kieron Pollard very early in his innings. He got his other two wickets by wrapping up the lower order.

Brett Lee bowled this impressive spell in the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa. In the group stage clash Australia faced Bangladesh and dominated them completely. Australia chose to field first when they won the toss.  The Aussie bowling attack did not allow Bangladesh to bat freely and restricted them to a miserable total of 123. Brett Lee was the pick of the bowlers for Australia by taking 3 wickets. He dismissed Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza, and Alok Kapali to put Bangladesh in trouble. Australia eventually chased the target comfortably.
