BBL 2024-25: Predicting Melbourne Renegades’ playing XI for their clash against Adelaide Strikers

The Melbourne Renegades will play their fifth match of the Big Bash League against the Adelaide Strikers. After losing their last game against Sydney Thunders, the Renegades will look to make a solid comeback in the game. The strikers aren’t having a good time either, so the Renegades might have the upper hand.

In four games, the Renegades have won just two. They have a long tournament ahead and will look to alter the results for themselves. They are currently in the fourth position of the points table. A win will send them to the second position since their NRR is better than the others.

Here’s the predicted XI for Melbourne Renegades:

Top Order

Jake Fraser-Mcgurk

Josh Brown, Jake Fraser-Mcgurk and Tim Seifert are the top-order batters for the Renegades. They are some of the super-talented players in the team and have consistently scored runs in the past. The openers especially have given a good start to the game, setting the base for the newcomers. With their help, the Renegades can make a solid comeback in the team.

Middle Order

Jacob Bethell

Renegades have a good middle order in the form of Jacob Bethell, Laurie Evans, Mackenzie Harvey, and Will Sutherland. The middle order failed in the previous game, leading to a crushing defeat. Except for Evans, no other batter touched the double digits. They’ll have to step up since the middle-order batters are the backbone of the team.

Bowlers

Adam Zampa

Fergus O Neil, Tom Rogers, Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson are the main bowlers of the team. The bowlers made significant contributions in the previous game, taking one wicket each and restricting the team from scoring more than 160 runs. They have a huge job to do in the upcoming games as well.
