3 youngsters from the ongoing season who should get maiden call-up from the Indian team

Indian Premier League season is coming to an end, and the fight for the playoff places is very much heating up. Some of the biggest names in the world have done their best with the bat and ball so far this season. Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Sai Sudharsan, and Shubman Gill have been among the most prominent scorers. Over the years, IPL has been the breeding ground for players to make it to the national side. This year, the league has seen some newcomers make their mark. Priyansh Arya, who shot to fame with six sixes during the Delhi Premier League, made his mark for Punjab Kings this season. The left-handed batter scored a century against Chennai in just 39 balls. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a 35-ball century in the game against the Gujarat Titans. This made Suryavanshi the youngest ever centurion in T20 cricket.

1. Angkrish Raghuvanshi 

Young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi has become one of the key batters for Kolkata Knight Riders. The right-handed batter has played 19 games for KKR in the IPL and scored 404 runs with an average of 31 and a strike-rate of 150. Raghuvanshi is a very capable middle-order batter with the ability to play pace and spin with relative ease. Raghuvanshi could be one of the batters to look out for in the future due to his sheer talent and run-scoring ability. 

2. Yash Dayal

Left-arm seamer Yash Dayal has been growing in stature with the bat in each season of the IPL. The 27-year-old has been at the top of his game ever since his move to RCB post his stint with Gujarat. Dayal bowled a terrific last over against Chennai Super Kings, where he helped RCB win the game by two runs. This was despite bowling a no-ball in the final over of the game. The left-arm seamer has been on the fringes of national selection, but this could very well be the season that Dayal finally gets to don India’s colours.

3. Prabhsimran Singh 

Young Prabhsimran Singh has been impressing everyone with his power-hitting and daredevil batting exploits. The 24-year-old is an attacking batter and also a more than capable wicketkeeper. Singh could finally get his India call-up after batting well during the ongoing season of the IPL. In his 44 IPL matches, Singh has scored 1102 runs with one century and six fifties with an average of 25 and a strike rate of 151.
