3 ways in which RCB’s 2025 squad is better than IPL 2024 squad

3 ways in which RCB’s 2025 squad is better than IPL 2024 squad

Following the completion of the IPL 2025 big auction, all 10 clubs have finalized their squads for the forthcoming season. Most teams have made significant investments to bolster their teams, and today’s matchup will center on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). To assemble a formidable side for the 2025 season, the RCB management made wise selections by pursuing reliable T20 players rather than elite players.

1. Decant bowling attack:

It has been a while since RCB had a cohesive tempo attack. Josh Hazlewood will spearhead the speed assault and, together with Yash Dayal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, make a lethal trio. The addition of Nuwan Thushara, Lasith Malinga’s protégé, would help address RCB’s greatest weakness, which has been their death overs bowling. The Sri Lankan spinner is renowned for his lethal yorker.

2. Good Middle Order:

RCB has made significant investments on its top order throughout the years, ignoring their middle and lower orders. But the pattern shifted this season. A strong middle order is formed by players like Tim David, Jitesh Sharma, Rajat Patidar, Liam Livingstone, and Krunal Pandya. Virat Kohli’s role as the team’s lone warrior is no longer necessary.

3. Virat Kohli back to captaincy role:

The renowned hitter Virat Kohli is almost certain to return as the RCB team’s captain for the upcoming campaign. RCB’s failure to bid for any captaincy items during the auction aroused eyebrows, but based on management’s suggestions, they have urged Kohli to take the team’s helm once more. He has unresolved issues as the team’s captain, having stepped down in 2021.As he nears the end of his career, Kohli will have the motivation to finally deliver the goods for his side, even though under his guidance they only made it to the finals once in 2016. Additionally, the team will be inspired to perform for the IPL’s greatest legend.
