The 2024 edition of the Hundred Men’s tournament ended with the Oval Invincibles winning the title once more. The final game of the tournament saw Oval win the game by 17 runs against Southern Braves last weekend. It has been a comprehensive performance by Oval as they showed their superiority to win the title. 

Oval Invincibles were the first side to make it to finals by the virtue of finishing at the top of the table. The Oval side played 8 matches and won 6 games and lost just 2 as they dominated with the bat and ball.

The ease with which Oval won the title has reminded many fans of the way Chennai Super Kings play. Many fans have noted that Oval Invincibles have shown the same ruthless shown by the Indian Premier League giants

3- Solid team composition 

Just like Chennai Super Kings, even Oval Invincibles have a team that can change the course of the game with the bat and ball. Dawid Malan at the top of the order has been solid while Will Jacks has been powering them to good starts with his aggressive batting. This has reminded the fans of the Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway opening stand at CSK. Even the middle-order is solid with a deep batting unit while the bowling has been spearheaded by Adam Zampa who has been a huge figure in Oval winning the title.

One of the things that CSK possesses that other IPL teams don’t is the fact that they have amazing all-rounders. In Tom Curran and Sam Curran, the Oval side have two players who can change the course of the game with the bat and ball. In the finals, Sam Curran contributed 25 runs with the bat and performed admirably with the ball, allowing only 25 runs from his 20 deliveries. Even Will Jacks is a terrific all-rounder as his 37 in the final over the wicket of James Vince proved.
