The World Test Championship Cycle 2023-2025 is approaching its conclusion, with the finals set to take place from June 11th to 15th at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. This cycle featured nine participants vying for a spot in the finals of the sport’s oldest format. South Africa and Australia emerged as the finalists in the 2023-2025 cycle. The Proteas finished first in the points table with a winning percentage of 69.44, while the Kangaroos followed closely in second place with 67.54. 

India and New Zealand claimed the third and fourth spots, respectively. Throughout this WTC cycle, fans witnessed remarkable bowling performances that contributed to the success of their respective teams. The left-handed Australian pacer had scalped 72 wickets in 35 innings in this World Test Championship Cycle. He also picked up a five-wicket haul twice. His best bowling figures of 6 wickets for 48 runs came against India in the Adelaide Test. Starc will be a crucial player in the final against South Africa as the Kangaroos are looking to defend their WTC title in the finals against South Africa.

The Australian right-arm pacer has led from the front in this cycle of the WTC. In the 33 innings so far, Cummins has taken 73 wickets. He also recorded five 5-wicket hauls in this cycle. His best bowling figures of 6 wickets for 91 runs came against England at Leeds. He will be looking to surpass the highest wicket-taker of the cycle when he takes the field in the finals.

The Indian pace stalwart, Jasprit Bumrah, is undoubtedly one of the most lethal pacer in the world currently, leading the charts of the top wicket takers with 77 wickets in just 28 innings in this WTC cycle. He also picked 5 wickets in an innings, a total of five times in the last two years. His best bowling spell of 6 wickets for 45 runs came against England at Vishakhapatnam. He played an influential role in this season’s WTC run for India.
