At present, Pakistan captain Babar Azam is at the peak of his form. Breaking one record after another, he is announcing that he has come to rule cricket. He is currently being compared to former India captain Virat Kohli. However, despite the incomparable start, Kohli is not having a good time at present. This cricketer is looking to find himself back after losing form. Kohli and Babar are not usually seen playing together without an ICC event. But this time they will play for the same team.

The last time the Afro-Asia Cup was held was in 2005 and 2007. After that the event came to a halt due to political and broadcast complications. This popular event of the continent will be held again in 2023. The players of the Asian teams will play together in this event organized in T20 format. Earlier, Pakistan’s pacer Shoaib Akhtar and all-rounder Shahid Afridi and India’s Virender Sehwag and Rahul Dravid played for the Asia XI.

Regarding the organization of the Afro-Asia Cup, Prabhakaran Thanraj, head of trade and events of the Asian Cricket Council, said, “We have started working on the issue. Although not sure yet. However, proposals in this regard will be sent to the boards soon. If all goes well, this event will be held in June-July 2023. We will try to make the Asian XI with the best players from India and Pakistan. Once we get the green signal from the boards, we will start working on the issue of sponsorship and broadcasting. It will definitely be a big arrangement. ”

Sumod Damodar, a member of the ICC’s chief executive committee, said: “It’s always great to be able to build bridges between players from different countries. This allows players from different countries to play together. I’m sure, keeping the politics side, the players want to play together like this. It will be great if players from teams like India and Pakistan play together.
