The sixth season of the T10 League is going to start in the United Arab Emirates from November 23. And Bangladeshi left-handed batsman Afif Hossain Dhrubo got a place in this league’s player draft. T10 League authorities have confirmed the matter on social media Facebook.
The T10 League authorities have posted a picture of Bangladesh’s Afif and other cricketers on Facebook. The post read, “ Young Guns! Which of these youngsters are you backing to be picked up in the AbuDhabiT10 Season 6 Draft? “
Apart from Bangladeshi Afif, many others including Pathum Nishanka, Jordan Cox, Harry Tector, Izharul Haque Naveed have signed up in the league’s latest draft.
But this is not the first time, Afif has played in the T10 league before. He played for Bengal Tigers in 2021. He was also the icon cricketer of the team that year. Afif got a place again this year for the second time.
The player draft will be held on September 26. Apart from Afif, among Bangladeshi cricketers there are all-rounders Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman. Shakib is an icon cricketer and captain of the T10 League.
Afif is now one of the batting pillars of Team Bangladesh. He may be seen batting at number four or five in the upcoming T20 World Cup by changing the batting order. Time will tell how he will do in the T10 League. However, this rising star of Bangladesh is currently in the United Arab Emirates with the Bangladesh team to get prepared for T20.
