Shakib once again the victim of wrong umpiring

আবারো ভুল আম্পায়ারিংয়ের শিকার সাকিবরা

Bangladesh fought against Pakistan in the fight to reach the semi-finals in Adelaide on Sunday. Bangladesh, who won the toss and batted first, started well. But the Tigers suffered a big blow in the middle of the innings. Team Bangladesh lost the wickets of Soumya Sarkar and Shakib Al Hasan consecutively to Sadab Khan in the 11th over.

However, controversy has arisen over Shakib’s dismissal. Shakib tries to play onside with Sadab’s ball. But as there was no proper connection with the bat, the ball goes to the leg of the batsman. Meanwhile, South African umpire Andrean Holdstock dismissed with a strong appeal of the Pakistani cricketers.

At that time, however, the Bangladesh captain was seen as quite confident. Shakib’s belief is that the ball hits the bat before hitting the feet. That’s why Shakib immediately took the review. But it even can’t save him! According to the rules, the third umpire Langton Rougere checked the ultra-age. This Zimbabwean umpire also declared that Shakib was dismissed.

However, the debate on the matter is increasing. In ultra-edge, the ball touches the bat before hitting Shakib’s feet. But the place where the umpire is in doubt is whether the bat hit the ground during the ultra-age spike or not. But another camera angle clearly shows the distance between the bat and the ground. Due to which Shakib had to leave the field with disappointment and sadness.

The World Cup has already ended for Bangladesh. But surpassing the match, Shakib’s out is in the discussion now.  Many of the Bangladesh team claim to have been victims of bad umpiring in the Bangladesh-India match. After Shakib’s controversial dismissal against Pakistan, there is growing frustration in the Bangladesh camp. Many cricket analysts have also raised the question why the umpires’ decisions always go against Bangladesh.
