Shakib makes remarkable debut in PSL

Cricket has now become more of a commercial affair than a game. Franchise-based T20 leagues are currently running in many countries around the world. The cricketers are on the run due to that busyness. It becomes difficult for cricketers to go from one country to another country to play, overcome travel fatigue and perform again. Shakib Al Hasan is no exception. While playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he was plain in the first match.

Shakib made his debut for Peshawar Zalmir against Karachi Kings on Tuesday night. Shakib’s team batted first after losing the toss. But the Bangladeshi all-rounder did not get the opportunity to bat in his preferred position and properly. Shakib only got a chance to play one ball due to Babar Azam’s strong batting at the top. He made 1 run from that ball.

Although Shakib could not bat properly at number 7, his team got a big collection of 199 runs. Although he could not perform as expected with the ball. Shakib’s sharp form in left-arm off-spin was not seen in Peshawar’s jersey. Shakib spent 32 runs bowling 3 overs. He did not see any wickets, let alone explosive bowling.

However, Peshawar did not have to pay for Shakib’s lousy bowling. Because Karachi failed to chase the target of 200 runs given by them. But in the end, Imad Wasim also fought equally. They also scored 197 runs before the end of the over, losing 5 wickets. Shoaib Malik’s spectacular half-century also went in vain as he lost by just 2 runs.

But even with a big target, Babar is not satisfied with only 2 runs. According to Shakib’s captain, they need to be more careful in fielding and catching. But now Babar is not blaming anyone in the party. After overcoming these mistakes, he is focusing on the upcoming matches. The Peshawar captain is confident, both in himself and his teammates.
