Volunteers from different parts of the country often rush to the side of the helpless flood victims in Sylhet with relief. Voluntary organisations are reaching out to the flood-hit people with the help collected from the people at home and abroad. Also, many are working relentlessly on their initiative for the helpless people.

This time Mushfiqur Rahim, the wicket-keeper batsman of the Bangladesh national cricket team is standing by the side of the flooded people of Sylhet. The cricketer has handed over his entire month’s money to a voluntary organisation, and it has been confirmed that he gave that organisation about 6 lakh taka.

The organisation will assist about one and a half thousand families with the money given by Mushfiqur. A volunteer involved in relief activities in Sylhet and Sunamganj areas told a leading online portal in the country, “We have received Tk 6 lakh from Mushfiqur Bhai. We will help one and a half thousand families with this money. We will provide them with cooked food. “
