Iyer gets injured before the Australia series

Injuries to players have been the biggest enemy of Indian cricket over the last few years. Before any big game or important series, the team is suffering a lot when the players get knocked out. In that case, since Iyer will not be able to play, the possibility of Suryakumar playing in his place is more certain.

The experienced all-rounder has already joined the camp of the Test team. He was sidelined for a long time after being injured during the Asia Cup last year. Then he missed the last T20 World Cup. Jadeja is going to return to the field after recovering from that injury.
