Iyer gets injured before the Australia series

অস্ট্রেলিয়া সিরিজের আগে চোটে পড়লেন আইয়ার

Injuries to players have been the biggest enemy of Indian cricket over the last few years. Before any big game or important series, the team is suffering a lot when the players get knocked out. Even in the new year that problem did not end. The team received bad news before the Test series against Australia. Shreyas Iyer will not be able to play in the beginning of this series due to injury.

Iyer has been suffering from back pain for a long time. Because of this, the star batsman was also dropped from the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. He was later sent for rehabilitation to the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. He was also injected there. But that didn’t work either. Due to which Iyer has been asked to rest for two more weeks.

Meanwhile, the Indian team has started its training camp in Nagpur from February 2. Rohit Sharma is busy making the best preparations on a mission to maintain their dominance in the Boarder -Gavaskar Trophy. Iyer is not in this camp. He did not join the camp with the team mainly because he was not fit. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has not said anything about who will be played instead.

But with Iyer’s knock out, Suryakumar Yadav get chance. This batsman, who continues to dominate in T20, is waiting for his debut in white clothes. In recent times, the discussion of his inclusion in the Test team has also intensified. In that case, since Iyer will not be able to play, the possibility of Suryakumar playing in his place is more certain.

However, amid the bad news, there is also good news in the Indian dressing room. Ravindra Jadeja returned to the team after a long time. The experienced all-rounder has already joined the camp of the Test team. He was sidelined for a long time after being injured during the Asia Cup last year. Then he missed the last T20 World Cup. Jadeja is going to return to the field after recovering from that injury.
