IPL franchises shaped up teams with intense bidding war

The mega auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 has just ended yesterday. 10 franchises have bought players worth Rs 551.70 crore in the two-day auction, which was held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. 8 teams that participated in the previous edition got the opportunity to retain their favourite players. And the two new teams have done agreements with three players to be part of their cohort. All the franchises have bought cricketers from the auction and arranged their teams with them.

Among all Indian cricketers enlisted in the mega auction, India lefty batter Ishan Kishan has been sold to Mumbai Indians with INR 15.25 cr. His countrymen Deepak Chahar (CSK-INR 14 cr) and Shreyas Iyer (KKR-INR 12.25 cr) got the second and third highest bid respectively. England all-rounder batsman, Liam Livingstone has been the highest overseas buy in the mega auction of this year’s IPL, he got snapped up by Punjab kings with INR 11.25 cr.
