The Pakistan Super League (PSL) announced a roadshow at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground, headlined by two of Pakistan’s biggest cricketing figures, Babar Azam and Wasim Akram. The event is a big moment in PSL’s international engagement as the league looks for its next phase of expansion after the growing interest from UK-based ownership groups.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently confirmed that the PSL would host a roadshow at the Home of Cricket. Starting with just five franchises, the league has grown in size and commercial value. Now, as PSL looks to add two new teams ahead of the 2026 season, the PCB is positioning the league in a way to attract investors, partners, and a wider international audience.

The star lineup for the London roadshow includes ace batter Babar, and alongside him is legendary pacer Akram. The event will also feature opener Sahibzada Farhan, speedster Haris Rauf, and commentator Ramiz Raja. In addition, singer Ali Zafar, who has been closely associated with PSL, will also be part of the lineup.

PSL officially unveiled the lineup through a poster on its social media platforms, inviting fans to an exclusive evening at Lord’s with some of the biggest names in Pakistan cricket. The event is designed to showcase PSL’s journey over the past decade, from a five-team league launched in the UAE.

“The HBL PSL has rapidly evolved into one of the world’s most exciting and commercially robust T20 leagues. As the league prepares to expand with the addition of two new teams, it has already attracted significant interest from potential ownership groups across the United Kingdom – a testament to the PSL’s rising global profile and its strong connection with UK-based cricket stakeholders,” the board said in a press release.

PSL to add two more teams

A major talking point around the roadshow is PSL’s upcoming expansion. After adding Multan Sultans in 2018, this will be the first time in seven years that the league undergoes a structural change. With two new teams set to join, PSL will move from six to eight franchises.
