The West Indies Women (WI W) will have their task cut out when they take on defending champions New Zealand Women (NZ W) in match No. 4 of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. This match is set to be played at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.
Hayley Matthews and Co. are coming into this series on the back of two defeats in the two warm-up matches they played. The West Indies lost to India and Australia. There are enough talent and firepower in the Caribbean side, but they will have to play as a unit.
Meanwhile, the White Ferns lost a three-match T20I series against England last month. However, they will be high on confidence, beating South Africa and Bangladesh comprehensively in the warm-up matches. New Zealand have a very strong side and will look to start their title defence with a victory.
