PSL 2023: Final, MUL vs LAH Match Prediction – Who will win today’s PSL match between MUL vs LAH?

Courtesy of a terrific run chase against Peshawar Zalmi in the second eliminator of the competition, defending champions Lahore Qalandars once again qualified for the finals of the Pakistan Super League, which is slated to take place on March 18 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Notably, they will be challenging Multan Sultans in the big match thus making it a repeat of last year’s final.

Coming to the Sultans, they absolutely decimated Lahore in the previous match, winning by 84 runs. Veteran all-rounder Kieron Pollard is in terrific form with the bat and will be a huge threat to the Shaheen Shah Afridi-led side as he is someone who can change the game in just a couple of overs. On the other hand, skipper Mohammad Rizwan too is playing some remarkable cricket and will pose a lot of threats in the final.

With the ball, Sheldon Cottrell picked up three wickets in the previous match, while Usama Mir picked up two. Young pacer Abbas Afridi meanwhile has been sensational so far and the Qalandars batters need to tackle him well as he has the ability to rupture any batting unit.

Meanwhile, despite being one of the most dominant teams in the league stage, Qalandars seemed to have lost their momentum at the moment. They were brilliant against Peshawar in the last match but there are many areas that the team needs to work on at the moment. Their middle order for example needs to improve as players like Sikandar Raza and David Wiese have a lot of experience but they are yet to prove their class with the bat. Even in the last match, opener Mirza Tahir Baig was the sole fighter with the bat while others contributed very little even though the team managed to get the win.

Coming to their bowlers, Shaheen Afridi and Rashid Khan started the season brilliantly but have lost the momentum in the middle. Haris Rauf however has been brilliant and will be key on the night of the finals while Afridi and Rashid’s experience will also come in handy.
