The Bangla Tigers didn’t play the T20 World Cup this year after expressing security concerns. Mehidy Hasan Miraz would look to make a statement after a long break for the home team from international cricket. Bangladesh’s last ODI series was in Mirpur in October last year against the West Indies. The home side won 2-1.
Meanwhile, Pakistan would want to bounce back after a below-par T20 World Cup campaign. The Men in Green failed to make it to the knockouts in consecutive editions of the tournament. Pakistan’s last ODI assignment was a three-match series against Sri Lanka at home in November 2025. The hosts won the series 3-0.
