Harleen Deol (5 off 10) and Phoebe Litchfield (0 off 3) also departed quickly, leaving Gujarat Giants reeling at 16/3 within the first four overs.

The middle order failed to stabilize the innings as skipper Ashleigh Gardner (3 off 9) and Kashvee Gautam (0 off 1) fell in quick succession, reducing the team to a precarious 20/4. Deandra Dottin provided some resistance with a brisk 26 off 24 balls, including five boundaries, but her dismissal in the 11th over further dented Gujarat’s hopes. Her aggressive approach, coupled with Jess Jonassen’s explosive innings, took the game away from Gujarat. Despite losing Shafali in the 10th over and Jemimah Rodrigues (5 off 9) shortly after, Delhi remained in control. Annabel Sutherland’s brief stay ended with just 1 run, but Marizanne Kapp’s unbeaten 9 off 8 balls provided the finishing touches. 

The Gujarat Giants’ bowlers struggled to contain the Capitals’ aggressive batting lineup, with only Kashvee Gautam (2/26) and Tanuja Kanwar (1/13) making notable contributions. Ultimately, Delhi Capitals reached 131/4 in just 15.1 overs, sealing a comprehensive 6-wicket win and further strengthening their position in the tournament.
