Badoni was brilliant in his timing throughout the innings, scoring 5 fours and 1 six at a strike rate of 147.05. Abdul Samad then had a nice cameo of 30 runs off 10 balls in the end overs to provide important momentum in LSG’s innings. Samad’s strike rate of 300 was very valuable in enabling LSG to secure a total of 180/5.

Avesh Khan was the star bowler for LSG, taking 3 wickets for 37 runs in his 4 overs. His crucial breakthroughs included the dismissals of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and Shimron Hetmyer, playing a key role in keeping the Royals’ chase under control. 

Aiden Markram’s off-spin also proved vital, as he claimed the wicket of Vaibhav Suryavanshi for 34 runs. Ravi Bishnoi and Shardul Thakur provided solid support, though they struggled to create breakthroughs during the middle overs, with Thakur going for 34 runs in his 3 overs.

Rajasthan Royals started their chase with a strong opening from Yashasvi Jaiswal, who played a superb knock of 74 off 52 balls, featuring five fours and four sixes. His innings kept RR in the game, but wickets continued to fall at the other end. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (34) and Riyan Parag (39) made valuable contributions but were unable to form lasting partnerships. 

Shimron Hetmyer (12) was dismissed at a crucial moment, leaving RR with too much to do in the final overs. As the required rate climbed, the pressure mounted, and despite Jaiswal’s brave effort, RR fell just 2 runs short, finishing at 178/5.
