Yorkshire Women sign England all-rounder Em Arlott ahead of 2027 season

Yorkshire Women have secured the services of England all-rounder Em Arlott ahead of the 2027 domestic season. The 28-year-old will leave Warwickshire Women and join the Headingley-based county on a three-year contract, starting from November 1. 

The right-handed batter comes into the side with a wealth of international experience. She has played 10 times for England Women across formats, taking 15 wickets along the way. 

Arlott becomes Yorkshire’s second big English signing since they were granted professional status ahead of the 2026 season. The White Rose county signed spinner Sarah Glenn from The Blaze on a two-year contract last year.

I’m in no doubt that women’s cricket has grown rapidly across the region and I’m excited to experience the energy behind this. When I spoke to Rich (Pyrah) and Gavin Hamilton, I could feel the vision of where they are taking this team and to get the opportunity to play with cricketers like Lauren Winfield-Hill and Jess Jonnassen is a huge pull. These are legends of the game, and I feel ready to help get Yorkshire to the very top,” Em Arlott said on Yorkshire’s official website. 

Arlott will join a talented group of players, which includes the likes of Ami Campbell, Lauren Winfield-Hill, Jess Jonnassen, Sterre Kalis and the aforementioned Glenn. 

The all-rounder has played just eight matches for Warwickshire this season. The 28-year-old was forced to withdraw from the England squad for concussion protocols during an One Day International (ODI) match against New Zealand earlier this season. 

However, one of her appearances for the Bears came against Yorkshire in the Women’s T20 Blast, where she scored an unbeaten 15 in the first innings and followed that up by taking two wickets in the second. 

In their maiden campaign as a professional outfit, Yorkshire finished seventh in the 2026 Women’s T20 Blast, ahead of Warwickshire and Lancashire. They are, however, second from bottom in the ongoing One Day Cup, one place ahead of Essex.
