$100,000South Africa who finished on the third spot in the WTC 2021-23 standings will be rewarded with $450,000, while England who were a bit too late in showing red hot form during the cycle will take $350,000 with themselves at home.

Meanwhile, the Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka, who were in contention to seal a berth in the summit clash alongside Australia before they eventually went down fighting in New Zealand will fetch $200,000 for finishing fifth on the ladder. The bottom four including New Zealand (sixth), Pakistan (seventh), West Indies (eighth) and Bangladesh (ninth) will be rewarded $100,000 each.

The final of the WTC 2021-23 cycle couldn’t fully live up to its billing as the Pat Cummins-led side literally steamrolled India in a display of dominance across five days.

Travis Head and former skipper Steven Smith turned out to be phenomenal with the willow in hand in Australia’s first innings after the Aussies were once struggling having been reduced to 76 for the loss of three wickets.

Both batters scored centuries and helped their team in scaling a massive first innings total of 469 runs. India, in reply, couldn’t bat well and barring Ajinkya Rahane no other batter could score a half-century. India were tasked to chase down a mountain of 444 in the fourth innings and it was never going to be easy as it turned out eventually.
