The World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 standings have seen minor changes following Australia’s dominant 3-0 series whitewash over the West Indies, helping them retain their position at the top.

Australia sealed the clean sweep with a 176-run victory in the third Test at Sabina Park, the first-ever day-night Test at the venue. The left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc delivered a record-breaking spell, claiming five wickets in just 15 balls in what was his 100th Test appearance. His blistering performance dismantled the West Indies batting line-up, restricting them to just 27 runs, the second-lowest total in Test cricket history.

This series marked Australia’s first assignment of the new WTC cycle, and they made a strong statement with a 3-0 triumph. Their next red-ball challenge will be the Ashes, scheduled to begin on November 21 in Perth. West Indies, meanwhile, will travel to India for a two-match Test series in October.

In another WTC fixture, England clinched a thrilling 22-run win against India in the third Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Lord’s, taking a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.

India needed to chase 193 in the fourth innings, but were bowled out for 170 despite a valiant lower-order resistance. England skipper Ben Stokes led from the front with an all-round performance bowling 14 overs on the trot, while the pitch on Day 5 provided unexpected assistance to the English bowlers early in the day.

India lost key wickets on Day 5 morning, including those of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Washington Sundar, putting the visitors in a tough spot. However, Ravindra Jadeja stood tall with an unbeaten 61 off 181 deliveries, forming crucial partnerships with Nitish Kumar Reddy (30 off 91), Jasprit Bumrah (35 off 132), and Mohammed Siraj (23 off 80). Despite their brave effort, England held their nerve to secure the win. Stokes was adjudged the Player of the Match in the Lord’s Test.

With the result, England now lead the series 2-1. The fourth Test will begin on July 23 at Old Trafford in Manchester.
