Harleen Deol is currently featuring for Gujarat Giants Women in the ongoing edition of the Women’s Premier League. She has had a mixed bag as far as the season is concerned. However, at the end of it, Gujarat made their way into the playoffs on the back of a decent second-half of their campaign.

In relation to the upcoming Eliminator against Mumbai Indians Women, the Indian middle-order batter shared her take on channelising the high-pressure situation in the correct manner.

“Whenever you play big matches, it is just about handling the pressure the right way. Whoever does that is going to win. They have played two back-to-back matches and just have a day’s break. They are coming off a loss. So, they also have a challenge,” stated Harleen, as quoted by The Hindu.

She also praised West Indian all-rounder, Deandra Dottin, for stepping up for the team whenever required.

“The gaps that were there in the team have been filled by new people. (Deandra) Dottin has come in. Her four overs, fielding and batting, and the impact she has while batting, nobody can do that. In these leagues, it is just about finding the right combinations. At the right moments, the right people have clicked,” Harleen added.

Harleen’s only half-century in WPL 2025came against Delhi Capitals Women. Her unbeaten 49-ball 70-run knock in Lucknow fueled Gujarat to a five-wicket win with three deliveries to spare. This is the first time in three seasons that Gujarat qualified for the knockout phase. A lot would depend on Harleen as far as pacing her side’s innings is concerned.
