

Women’s World Cup-winning captain Harmanpreet Kaur‘s latest Instagram post features a certain Noopur Kashyap. Harmanpreet, who was playing her fifth Women’s World Cup, finally had the opportunity of landing the silverware in her hands, and was also the leading the side, being the first India Women skipper to lift an ICC title. Her side defeated South Africa runs in the finals in Navi Mumbai to create history.
Her social media post features Noopur and her in front of the Gateway of India, with the shimmering trophy in the latter’s hands. The caption gives an indication that it is Noopur’s birthday today and that she is Harmanpreet’s best friend. However, there is a rumour among netizens that she is also the girlfriend to Harmanpreet.

What does Noopur Kashyap do?
Regarding Noopur, she holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Punjab University. She then went onto complete her postgraduate diploma in advertising, marketing and public relations from International Institute of Mass Media.
Noopur currently owns Repeat7, a high-performance fitness centre for athletes in Patiala, Punjab. She is also well known to have been the Talent Manager for prominent Indian cricketers like Harmanpreet and Harleen Deol. She has also held the roles of Sports and Entertainment Consultant and the Business Manager while working at the renowned Cornerstone Sports and Entertainment, the same organization in which Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh has worked at.
Harmanpreet Kaur’s record in Women’s World Cup 2025
Speaking of her record at the Women’s World Cup 2025, Harmanpreet registered 260 runs in eight innings while possessing a strike rate of 89.04. India, who had finished fourth in the league phase with seven points in as many matches, defeated Australia and South Africa in the semi-final and the final, respectively. Both matches were played at the same venue, the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy.
Harmanpreet’s best innings in the tournament came against the Aussies in the semi-final. She scored 89 off 88 and established a 167-run stand with Player of the Match Jemimah Rodrigues (127* off 134). The Women in Blue will next play against Australia in an all-format series next year. Recently, she was retained by Mumbai Indians ahead of the mega auction for WPL 2026.
