West Indies will face Sri Lanka in the second ODI of the three-match series on June 7 at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica. Sri Lanka currently hold a 1-0 lead after a convincing performance in the opening match.

For West Indies, there were a few positives despite the defeat in the first ODI. Matthew Forde and Roston Chase impressed with the ball, while captain Shai Hope contributed valuable runs at the top of the order. However, the hosts were unable to capitalise on those performances and fell short of the target. They will be eager to bounce back and level the series heading into the decider.

Sri Lanka, meanwhile, produced a well-rounded display in the first ODI. Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis starred with the bat, while Dushmantha Chameera and Maheesh Theekshana played key roles with the ball to guide their side to victory. Having taken an early advantage in the series, Sri Lanka will now look to maintain their momentum and secure the series by winning the second ODI.

Sabina Park, Jamaica: Pitch Report

The pitch at Sabina Park has traditionally been favourable for batters, especially those who spend time at the crease and settle into their innings. Once set, batters can play their shots freely and score at a healthy rate, making it a venue where substantial totals can be posted. For bowlers, maintaining disciplined line and length will be crucial. Any inconsistency is likely to be punished, as the surface offers little margin for error.
