World Championship of Legends (WCL) owner Harshit Tomar had a massive surprise lined up for tournament presenter Karishma Kotak after the end of the final between South Africa Champions and Pakistan Champions on August 2, at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

AB de Villiers rolled back the years with his scintillating century in the final and helped South Africa beat Pakistan comprehensively by nine wickets. They chased down a 196-run target inside 17 overs. However, while the summit clash was entertaining, Tomar’s comments left everyone stunned.

Kotak, who had previously worked as a presenter during the Indian Premier League (IPL), asked Tomar what he would do, how he would celebrate, as the second season of the tournament came to an end. The latter said that he would go on to propose to her. This comment seemed to catch Kotak off-guard. The video of this interaction went viral on social media in no time.

Take a look at the video below:

In the final, de Villiers slammed an unbeaten 120 off 60 balls, while JP Duminy scored 50 not out off 28 deliveries. Hashim Amla was the only South African batter dismissed. Earlier in the day, Sharjeel Khan’s 76 off 44 deliveries helped Pakistan put on a competitive total of 195/5 in 20 overs. Hardus Viljoen and Wayne Parnell bagged two wickets apiece.

The legendary De Villiers finished as the highest run-getter in the tournament, with 431 runs to his name from six innings at an average of 143.67 and a strike rate of 221.03. The former South African captain won the Player of the Match as well as the Final. Meanwhile, Peter Siddle and Wayne Parnell finished as the joint-highest wicket-takers in the six-team competition. They bagged 11 wickets each. While Siddle played six matches, Parnell featured in seven.
