Unmukt Chand’s documentary ‘Unbroken: The Unmukt Chand Story’ is set to be released in theatres on Friday, September 12. Unmukt’s documentary will chart his journey through his highs, lows and everything in between. The Raghav Khanna directed biopic promises to be a blockbuster.
From what could be ascertained from the snippet, the documentary has covered various phases of Unmukt’s playing days: his early triumph as leader at the Under-19 World Cup in 2012, magnified fame during his teenage years, involvement in brand endorsements, interactions with the media, failure to make it big in the Indian Premier League (IPL), lingering doubts about continuing the game, migration to the US, and so on.
Unmukt, now 32, last played competitive cricket in July while representing Vegas Vikings at the 2025 MAX60 Caribbean. He had recently been a part of Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) during Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025. It was highly expected that he would make it to USA’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. However, it was not to be for the top-order batter.
Unmukt stole the limelight with his charismatic leadership and stellar unbeaten 111 at the final of the U-19 World Cup against favourites Australia. He made his debut in the IPL at 18 years and 15 days, and was often likened to his senior Delhi teammate Virat Kohli, who had also led India to Under-19 World Cup glory in 2008.
